Approved cars

Not the cheapest. The one without surprises.

We only bring manufacturer-approved used cars from official dealers in Germany. Here is what that gives you — and what it costs.

What "approved" means

Each manufacturer runs its own used-car programme, sold only through official dealers: Mercedes-Benz Junge Sterne, BMW Premium Selection and Porsche Approved. To join the programme the car is checked by the dealer and goes on sale with the programme's warranty and its history.

What you gain

What it costs

Let us be straight: an approved car usually costs more than an ordinary used car of the same age and mileage, because the inspection and the warranty are inside the price. If you compare our price with the cheapest classified ad you find, the ad will often win. The question is what sits behind each price.

Questions people ask

Is an approved car more expensive?

Usually yes, compared with an ordinary used car of the same age and mileage. What you pay for is the manufacturer programme's warranty, the dealer's inspection and a documented history. If your only goal is the lowest price on the market, an approved car rarely wins.

How long is the warranty?

It depends on the programme and on the individual car. We do not quote a single figure: we read it on that car's file and confirm it in writing before you buy.

Why not private sellers or auctions?

Because that is where doubtful mileage and incomplete histories show up. Official dealers also invoice with a VAT number, which is exactly the document the DGT asks for to register the car.
